Ipsy August 2014 Spoiler #1!!!

Ipsy is such a fun subscription. At only $10.00 a month, you get a glam bag full of 4-5 beauty items.  You fill out a survey about your makeup preferences and then Ipsy sends a bag geared to your preferences.  Once you get your bag, you can review your items online, and tell Ipsy what you think.  When you complete reviews, you earn points, which can be redeemed for special items.They have already released a spoiler for August 2014 and its just amazing!

I’ve always enjoy using Urban Decay products and this plum colored eyeliner is something I have tried and I look forward to it.  But really getting one of these two items just makes it worth getting the bag!

IPSY July 2014 glam bag

Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full size or deluxe sample sized products and a cute bag. I think this is a great value beauty subscriptions and a great way to try new brands. Ipsy sends out many different variation of their bag each month base on the beauty quiz you take so my review is just one of the variations you might receive!

I was super excited to get this bag because I saw the sneak peak for the bag and it is so cute reminds me of a ravioli haha

Again I do not know why I got the tanning oil too especially I have medium skin tone and I tan easily anyway without the oil so this makes me wonder if they read the beauty quiz and refer to it at all! very disappointed for receiving this product and won’t be using it either.

The bareMinerals cream eye shadow is super pigmented and goes on smooth and will give it a try.  I really enjoy the Pixi Beauty balm and love the shape of it however I got the Unique Pink and the color is really light and sheer so doesn’t show any color on my lips.  I do like the feel and the mint flavor from it and will use it till its gone!  I might want to try other colors and I’ve seen this product at Target so it will be easy to get and for $14 for the full size.  The one from the bag is a deluxe-sized sample and its a good size to carry around in my jeans pocket.

The Nailtini nail lacquer is a brand new brand that i have never try or heard of so i’m happy to get this and the color is nice once you have it on! as for the Lavilin gel cream is so-so and will use it on my travel and feels moist to the touch.

Ipsy June 2014 Glam Bag

This was my first glam bag from Ipsy and I was super excited!!!I really liked the full size lip gloss and below are the description of the items I received.

I really didn’t understand why I received the Marc Anthony beach spray when I don’t have wave or curly hair at all. And I do mentioned that in my beauty quiz too. So I was confused on why I was selected to get this item.
The mascara is alright besides the chemical smell from it which it’s what many people on their website commented on too. I like how easy it is to clean tho and doesn’t smudge. I’ll still give the brand another try next time I get something from them.

Overall this bag had a hit and miss for me and I like the bag and I use it to store mini makeup in my purse so that’s a win. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think and what you got in your glam bag!

First post!!! WooHoo!!!  

I started this blog because I have been obsessed with monthly subscription boxes such as Birchbox, Ipsy, Boxycharm, etc. back in May 2014.  I googled “monthly subscription box” and WOAH! a bunch of search results came up and a whole new world came up to my face!  There are all different types of boxes from food to travel to pets to beauty to geeky stuffs!!!  I was overwhelm with all of the boxes and I wanted them all and NOW too!  I told my fiance about them all and he looked at me with a “look” and said oh cool and how much? I said its from $5 to $100+ and he said woah what’s in those boxes?!?!  hahaha I showed him the review sites and the boxes websites and he was like its cool but how many beauty products do i need or accessories or bottles of BBQ sauce?  which is true I don’t need all that stuff but it’s the fun of getting a box in the mail and opening it and finding out new trendy products for a low price! 

After a week or so of looking at a bunch review websites and a friend told me about IPSY after talking about it with her.  So, I’ve decided to go with IPSY for $10 a month and see if i will like it besides I didn’t find any deals with others and Birchbox has a waitlist and with IPSY I clicked to share on FaceBook and I was off the wait list!  I got the June and July IPSY Glam Bag and like them both so far!  I will do a review on them on a later post.  Last week, I started my annual subscription with Birchbox and got a great deal on Gilt City!!! $99 for one year subscription and if you are a new member to Gilt City use welcome20 to recieve a 20% off and this deal comes with a $25 Birchbox credit to use on their shops.  this equal to about less than $6 a box so I couldn’t resist this deal!  and I can’t wait to get my first box too!
