July 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag Plus Reward

  

The theme for this month is “Summer Lovin’ ” such a fitting theme for the humid sunny weather!!! When I first saw the sneak peek for the bag I didn’t have any are for it.  But when I got my hands on it, I love it!!! I like the canvas style and the colors are vibrant!

Product #1 is the Aurora Gel Effect Nail Lacqer in Alarm Fire color.  This is not as bright as I thought which is better! it’s actually pretty and I want to paint my nails with it!

 its a pretty pinkish red color and it’s on sales too for $7.99. 

Product #2 is the Octavio Sea Salt Spray and it is one thing I do not want and I always click dislike, will not buy, will not use, does not apply to me as part of the review and yet I see it in my bag along with leave in conditioner sprays! not happy! this item sales for $15.50 for the full size product which is 4oz and the sample is half of the full size is $7.75!? wow!

Product #3 is the Jelly Pong Pong 2 in 1 eyeshadow/eyeliner .10oz in the color bronze and its made from pure beeswax! this shadow/liner is $16.00!!! on its own website WOWZA! but i’m not sure how big is the full size product and I can’t find it anyway on the site.  This looks like at least half the size of a full size product and a pretty good amount to me so I’m guessing this is about $8.00 worth.

Product #4 is the Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance Gel Soapless Cleanser .84fl.oz I like it that its soap free and paraben free too! you can purchase this full size 6.76oz product for $20.00.   Which makes this a $2.50 sample.

Product #5 is the be a…bombshell lip balm in the color ruby.  This has a hint of color with some shine lip balm and no scent!!!! Which is a good sign for me because I remember one of their product is very chemically smelly.  this is a full size product for $14.00!!! well I will definitely not pay more than $2.00 for this because I do not care for this brand so I do not even know if I would want to pay for one.

My next item was redeemed thru Ipsy points for 500points!!! and this is a full size boscia 1.75oz/50g B.B. Cream Bronze Broad Spectrum SPF 27 PA++ oil-free  The only downside of this is that it expires on Aug 01, 2015!!! I don’t think I can use all of this in such little time especially its quite dark too.  so I can probably use this mixed with something lighter or use it to contour which i am not good with.  i’ll try to apply this to the whole face and see if i look natural or got a really good tan hehe.

All in all, this bag is surprisingly value at about $40!!!! wow!!! the value is definitely their but would I go and buy them? no.  but that’s part of a subscription is that you get something good and something bad.  and this month’s bag isn’t bad since I will be using the nail polish, soapless cleanser and the lip balm.

Ipsy November 2014 Review

Ipsy has been and up and down roller coaster for me because every month there is something that puts me off or I would totally love and try.  it is only $10 a month for this subscription and it has been great to build up my selections and try something new! So I did something different for November Ipsy Glam Bag and that is by not looking at my glam room before it arrived. Remember the first sneak peek? The tarte, glamglow, or it.

My jaw dropped when I saw the laura mercier mini set!!!!! From that sneak peek on I was praying to have that in my bag! and I didn’t want to look at my early access to my glam room because i didn’t want to be disappointed if its not there then I wouldn’t be excited for my bag.  and I’m so glad I didn’t look and waited and the surprise was the best part about getting these bags.

I screamed when i felt a pen like object inside the bag but it could be the eye pencil.  I dumped everything out of the bag and was just so happy that I got it!!! so happy and excited to try it and this made this bag my favorite of them all so far this year and only one more bag to go!

Everything I got from the bag and is it glitter enough? I don’t know and I don’t care! 🙂

The first item is the Marc Anthony oil of Morocco hairspray and this smells fruity and different from other hairspray.  It doesn’t leave hair sticky and hard feeling and it look natural.  This is a travel size 1.5oz and it is on Ulta.com for $2.99 or the full size at 9oz at walgreens.com for $8.29.

J.Cat Wonder Lip Paint color Mad Splatter and it looks like a pretty dark color but once apply and stain a little it turns out to be a really nice deep red shade color.  it last long and not sticky too.  this is a full size $4.99 at ulta.com and there are 8 other different colors to choose.

This is my second be a bombshell product and the first was iffy it was the mascara with a heavy chemical smell.  But this eye base shadow has no smell to me and goes on smoothly and has a nice pigmented tan color with a touch of shimmer! I think I can put this one to use and have fun with it! The color of my eye base is Submissive and on the beabombshell website its $14 full size too!

I was actually waiting for an eyeliner from any subscription!!! I wanted a new liquid kind and finally got one!!!  This is a full size Elizabeth Mott You’re So FINE eyeliner in Glitterati full size $17.99 on their website.  Ipsy has a coupon code that is 50% off on the site.  I’ve never heard of this brand before and this is made in Korea.  I used it and the lasting power is very impressive and it stayed on no budging at all!!! I like the little sparkle it has on it and just take one stroke to draw the line very smooth product.  So happy to have this in my bag!

Finally my favorite product in the bag! it is the laura mercier invisible loose setting powder with a mini fan brush.  This has to be the best setting powder ever! It’s silky, soft and lightweight powder that just set everything in.  The mini fan brush is the cutest thing and yes it is small but its perfect for traveling and it has a protective sleeve to keep it in shape too.  Totally buying the full once finish and this is a very good brand too.

By far this is my favorite bag from Ipsy, it has everything I would want to try and great brands.  I just don’t have anything negative to say about this month’s bag.  Oh yeah, the makeup bag is the silver glittery bag and that fits the theme with plenty of sparkling.  What do you think of your bag?
